Best food of my life. Let that sink in. Now reread it again. Best food of my life. To start, the atmosphere is gorgeous. I’m talking flowers and decorations all so neatly and aesthetically put together. The costumer service is just outstanding. They just opened a week ago but the staff was incredibly kind and pleasant always making sure that we were cared for. Now as for the food. This is exactly what we ordered: Pani Puri, Cauliflower Manchurian, Berry Mojito, Channa Masala, Garlic Naan, Paneer Tikka, Chocolate Lava Cake. My husband and I came here for dinner and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. We started with the Pani Puri Shots and Samosas. Both were excellent, but the Pani Puri Shots were the true standout. We’d never had anything like them before, and the burst of vibrant, tangy flavors made them unforgettable. For our mains, we ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Tandoor, paired with Garlic Naan. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. To end on a sweet note, we shared the mango cheesecake and Gulab Jamun, then finished with the Sweet Paan, which was a unique and refreshing surprise. Service was exceptional! We had a fantastic experience at JALA, the new Indian restaurant in Winter Park! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant yet welcoming — perfect for a great night out with good company. We tried the Fish Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Dal Makhani, and Tomato Lentil Soup, among others— every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the care and authenticity in every bite. To top it all off, the desserts were absolutely amazing — the perfect sweet finish to a memorable meal! Went to Jala, with my wife, last night for dinner. The food was incredible and the service was stellar. We shared the appetizers Cauliflower Manchurian and Samosa Chaat and they were outrageously delicious. The Manchurian was a mixed tangy and sweet with a little kick and was the perfect start to the meal. My wife had the chicken masala and I had the navratan korma with paneer. We enjoyed the meals immensely. Finally, we had the gulab jamun for dessert and it was paired with a whip cream and pistachio topping. Excellent pair. The naans were perfect, as well. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants and this may be our new favorite for special occasions and when we're looking for a fine dining experience and to be treated like royalty. ~ Avi S

Another classy new addition to Winter Park's dining scene. The decor is charming and simple yet stylish. Reservations are recommended, especially if you have a big party, as the space is small. We dined as a party of twelve, and both our server Alia and the owner Nik were wonderful. We knew Nik from a restaurant he previously managed, so we expected great service and food, and they did not disappoint. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The 24K gold paneer tikka and chili paneer were standouts, and the kaju methi malai was exceptional. Even the mild chole we ordered for the kids were full of flavor. As expected in Winter Park, prices are on the higher side, but the experience feels worth it. If they continue to maintain this level of service and taste, they'll be strong competition among the area's Indian restaurants. ~ Pranjali S

Delicious Food and Great Service! We had a really enjoyable meal at Jala Indian Fine Dining. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and the service throughout was excellent. Our server, Alex, did a fantastic job—he was professional, friendly, and gave great recommendations that we were really happy with. Incredible food and even better service! I visited Jala Orlando recently, and it was honestly one of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The standout dish for me was the Amritsari fish — crispy on the outside, perfectly tender inside, and full of flavor. You can really taste the authenticity and care that goes into their cooking. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what truly made the experience special was Nikhil’s service. He was attentive without being overbearing, super friendly, and took the time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. A kit glove experience from recipes to wine service and back again. Second visit here after a quick to-go meal the last time. Nestled squarely at the midpoint of the Park Ave strip in WP. This is fine Indian cuisine with no holds barred. We were allowed samples to help pick the wine and the dishes were served hot and fresh. Each recipe stood out from the other. The owner made it a point to oversee our meal service and it was a perfect fit for my group. He happily answered questions and pivoted to custom fit our experienced. The round yellow dish is an in-house creation of pistachio ice cream which was wonderful. I rarely take an additional meal home, but I just had to have a little more of this place the next day. ~ Scot S

No one had told me about this restaurant . My friends from Tampa came to Orlando with recommendations . What a treat it was ! From the moment we entered we were treated with so much love ! Nikhil was an amazing host talking to us and gave us great recommendations ! The food was the best Indian food I have had in two decades ! We had Vegetarian Biryani , a paneer dish and chicken Tikka masala with bullet naan ! We had the Jala Secial dessert and they gave us kulfi ( Indian ice cream ) on the house ! We ended with paan made from betel leave which has been used in India for centuries to enhance digestion. This restaurant could compete with any Michelin star restaurant or any 5 star restaurant in India I would have given it a 10 star rating if I could ! My Mom and I were on a walk while waiting for another restaurant and stumbled on this absolute gem of a restaurant. After we checked the review, we decided to try it out - and what a blessing it was! I’ve been to a few Indian restaurants - but this one - the BEST I’ve had! The presentation, service, taste - all of it - 5 stars! It’s one of those places where you just don’t want it to end! What a fabulous experience at Jala yesterday evening! We had a birthday celebration for a friend, about 11 people in attendance. The atmosphere in the restaurant is intimate and welcoming, perfect for a group of this size. Nik was extremely accommodating, letting us decorate in advance, congregate for wine around the bar before being seated, and assisting in any way that we asked. The food was exceptional... even our Indian friends were completely impressed. We had a variety of vegetarian appetizers and several different vegetarian and non-vegetarian entrees. Nik and Rupee were very attentive, even supplying a sparkler candle for the birthday cake that we brought in. I cannot recommend Jala enough. The food is top notch, the staff extremely accommodating, and the prices reasonable. Thank you guys for helping to make this celebration a success! ~ Ellen P

What the Lentil! This place is outstanding. We came in for dinner and a date night, and everything from the atmosphere to the service was exceptional. The space felt inviting, and the staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. Even with a full house, we felt like the only table in the room. Our hostess took great care of us, and our server was wonderfully attentive throughout the evening. The lentil soup was absolutely fantastic—I ordered the spicy version, and my husband went with the mild. I originally planned on getting the butter chicken, but our server encouraged me to try the goat, and I’m so glad I did. All in all, it was a fantastic evening.
